Dubai

You often ask me about Dubai, and this unusual pastel/watercolour-like colour palette in the images of the series. I feel it expresses well the physical pleasure and relaxing feeling of the warmth and humidity of the climate there.

I was curious to learn what’s behind the bustling and hustling and more importantly what’s in it – the tallest tower, the largest musical fountain, the World Islands, and fan-like Palm Jumeirah, the Burj on the beach in a yellow glow at dusk, the taste of fresh camel milk offered by a Bedouin in a desert, the smell of frankincense in the passageways, this oasis ridged by water channels echoing with calls for prayer…?
